We are so thankful for Dawn and all her help with addressing the needs of our aging parents, who live in a different state, away from us.  On one visit when we were checking on the folks, the nurse at my mother's primary care office gave us a copy of Dawn's card and we called her when we knew Mom could no longer be safe at home.  Before the visit, Dawn called to gain full appreciation of our concerns.  She visited my parents' home and sat down to talk with them, low key, like a neighbor.  Aware that I am an RN, she discussed her assessment with me on a professional level.  She found a wonderful memory care facility for her.  The staff are so caring and my Dad is comfortable visiting her. Dawn has extensive experience and knows the strengths of the various facilities in the area where my parents live. Dawn is the best!  Earlier this year mom was having memory and mobility problems.  After falling one too many times this summer, a local hospital gave me Dawn's name.  I reached out to Dawn, she then came out to talk to mom in person.  Dawn brought me to a few local senior facilities and she was an invaluable resource throughout the entire process.  She provided a wealth of information, experience and support from start to finish.  I am forever thankful to Dawn for being available for questions throughout the process.  Periodically checking in on mom's progress and also asking how I was doing.  You may start out as a client, but you'll end up with a friend for life.  Dawn, I appreciate you! Dawn has been an outstanding resource person in the past year, frequently going above and beyond expectations. My father went through a very difficult period last year (death of my mother, health issues that were, at one point, nearly fatal, needed several months of significant medical treatment, sold the family home after 45 years of living there) and, as a result, needed placement at an appropriate facility. I (his son) live six hours away in Canada and needed someone reliable and professional to guide me through many issues. Dawn came highly recommended by a very good friend, for whom she provided help some years ago when his mother needed a living facility. I can only echo the fine praise my friend provided.

Just as one example, among many, of “above and beyond” service from Dawn, to which I can point, was her willingness and success at organizing remote “Zoom-style” meetings with various personnel for me when I could not travel to NH directly. She provided multiple options in difficult circumstances (needed rapid placement at a place capable of accommodating my father’s needs) and, still now, has generously offered additional support and advice now that my father’s health has improved and he no longer needs quite the same level of care as was required a year ago.

I would not hesitate for even one moment to recommend Dawn and her services. I had no idea such a service existed until I needed it and can say it was a godsend given the logistical challenges we faced. If you need such services, you will never regret turning to Dawn for help.

Thank you Dawn.! Dawn truly is an amazing caring soul who is 100% an advocate for our seniors. Dawn was referred to me after having a stressful transition with my mom needing more care and it was time for Mom to join a community. From the first phone call I had with Dawn I immediately felt calm and less stressed. Dawn made it very clear she will do whatever she can to help us with mom’s care. Dawn met with mom and I 1.5 hours after speaking with her on the phone. 1 hour after that we were touring 2 places for mom,  by that evening the decision was made. Yes it was that easy.! Once we started working with Dawn the doors just opened up and we were able to get into communities immediately.! Dawn stayed involved during the entire process of getting mom all situated. If I could give Opening New Doors more than 5 stars, I would.  In no time, they found a place for my 85 year old uncle that perfectly fit his needs and his budget.  Dawn and Heidi were so personable and great to work with.  From the beginning, treated us like a friend/family.  We couldn't ask for more. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dawn Dumont at Opening New Doors. I was referred to her by a social worker at Generations Geriatric Mental Health after my dad’s dementia diagnosis, and from our very first conversation, I knew we were in the right hands.

Honestly, after that first call, I felt like a massive weight had been lifted. What had felt overwhelming suddenly felt manageable, simply because I knew I was working with exactly the right person.

Dawn is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She jumped in right away and guided us through the process with such clarity and confidence. Her understanding of how the system works—and her familiarity with the facilities in the region—made a huge difference.

What I appreciated most was how she balanced being honest and straightforward with genuine kindness and empathy. She truly understands how emotional and difficult this process is, and she met my sister and me with so much care and respect.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Dawn! From the very beginning, she treated our family like her own and truly made us feel like a priority during a very emotional and stressful time. Dawn was a tremendous help when I needed to move my father to an assisted living facility on short notice. She is very knowledgeable about how the system works and is familiar with many different options in NH. She is warm, caring, supportive and efficient.
